 What kind of movie am I trying to make? 

A: The movie I'm trying to make is comedy, and the reason I picked this is because it's such a wide variety of what I can choose from. For example, when watching a comedy movie, the script writer makes it so where the audience doesn’t know what to expect when it comes to the different comedy movies that are created. My favorite type of genre is comedy because it gives me laughter and excitement. There are many different genres of comedy just as horror comedy, romantic comedy, thriller comedy and they entertain audiences in different ways. A comedy movie that grabs my attention is “Superbad “because it’s about three young kids that need to hold up a bargain and bring alcohol to a high school party and the adventure they’ve went to, to get alcohol is hilarious. 

What are the basic genre conventions of my movie (themes, style, characters, etc.)?

A: The basic genre conventions of my movie are the stereotypical characters and theme. They all have a similar style that makes it funny. For example, the movie I've picked is “Superbad” the theme Is every good thing comes to an end and that’s a life lesson. The characters in the movie are very young and the girls in the movie are very attractive to the young boys, which make them vulnerable and willing to do anything to be friends/lovers with the ladies and that task was to get alcohol for their high school party. The style of the movie is 2 nerds males who want girlfriends and they are willing to do anything for one before they go off to college. Both the character have their challenges but at the end of the movie they went threw so much work to impress everyone but never got what they wanted.

  What kinds of transitions, effects, and titles are you using? Why?   A: The type of transitions I'm using are ones that don’t catch the audience  eye,  but some do, for  example   in   my film  I used dissolve, fade, and swipe transitions because that was provided by the editing source and it’s a meaning behind it, it goes with the  film.  The effects  in the film are  involving the cast and what they're saying to each other, the green screen which helped a lot because my cast members wouldn’t travel.   How are you using the editing process to create a coherent meaning from your collection of shots? Focus on meaning-making throughout the process   A:  I'm using the editing process in multiple ways for example  I'm  using  WeVideo   and  iMovie which is helping me throughout my process of editing and creating my f ilm .
