What do the opening sequences look like in other films of my genre?
A: What opening sequences look like in other films of my genre, is very bright and revolves around grabbing the audience attention. The opening sequences normally involve around the main theme of the movie/show. They use different opening sequence with the different comedy genre. For example, with an action comedy they do bright yellow, pink, orange etc. With the bright colors they use they have different shape with a black figure in the frame fight, running, talking doing something to grab the audience.
How does an opening sequence reveal meaning and tone without giving away too much?
A: An opening sequence reveals the meaning and tone without giving away the theme is by giving the audience a 20 second short film which gives the audience a taste of what the meaning/ tone is. The tone and the meaning are what comes in the middle or end, so they leave the audience guessing in the beginning. During a comedy movie/show “Superbad “it starts off in the beginning as a kid screaming and him being put into a locker than just go blank.

A: There’s not that many action in the first 2 minutes of film, it starts off the conflict that is than going to be started in the middle of the film and then it may be dissolved at the end of the film. For example, the movie “Superbad “in the beginning they were invited to the party and they had to buy alcohol, but than in the middle of the film the go through many obstacles to buy the alcohol.
